How do i add a parent as a dependent?

Ok so background on the situation. I’m trying to make my mother as my dependent since she can’t provide for herself financially and she gets disability money from the government for mental issues. I’ve paid for my mom’s entire electricity bill and sent her $100 to help out a bit. Since she also came from a different country she doesn’t know how to read and write in english (permanent resident). She used to have the housing rent and electricity bill be cheaper because of child support but since i’ve been in the army she’s been struggling a lot and it would be better if she was just with me up in new york. I was wondering on how to get her listed as my dependent along with how long the process would be and what documents i should provide.

I would suggest you go back and look at the post you made 29 days ago asking the same thing. Lots of good answers there to your question and that way no one has to repeat themselves.

The best thing you can do is go to the solider center talk to deers and ask them.
