I have 10 years in, prior service and been in the army a little over a year. I have heard through the grapevine that warrant officer corps is hurting and all mos are available no matter what your enlisted mos is. If true, how do i get this process started ? Is thier an actual Warrant officer recruiter ? Thank you all in advance How do I begin the process of becoming an Army warrant officer? 2019-10-26T19:55:25-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 5169336

Hello all. Here’s the link:

https://recruiting.army.mil/ISO/AWOR/

As far as your MOS not mattering, I’ve only ever known that to be true for Flight Warrant Candidates (153A). Most if not all of the Technical Warrant MOS’s have associated Enlisted MOS’s and have specific requirements for time in the job. That said there are waivers for most things in the Army.

The recruiting site explains eligibility and application processes as well as describes each Warrant Officer MOS. Hope this helps.

 U.S. Army Warrant Officer Recruiting

The official website for the Army Recruiting Command (USAREC)

Response by WO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 26 at 2019 8:02 PM 2019-10-26T20:02:20-04:00 2019-10-26T20:02:20-04:00 SFC Luis (Coolwhip) Ochoa 5169493

Go talk to your career counselor big Sarge! To get the assignment you’d have to be at a minimum rank of CW3. Most divisions do have a Warrant Officer recruitment briefing as well. Follow the links my fellow Warrants gave you and follow the guidance outlined there. The process of becoming a WO is arduous, time consuming and can be intimidating. If you think in the slightest that it’s just something you can easily jump into, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Follow the links provided above, watch some YouTube videos, go to the hrc website and find your regional WO recruiter to talk to. Good luck. If you want it...... Most technical warrant officer MOS's require experience in a feeder MOS that is generally skill related. There may be waivers for folks that have demonstrated skill in a potential MOS that they bring to the table from outside the military (this is more likely for RC/NG applicants).

Go to the warrant officer recruiting cite already posted by others and read up on things. The application process is lengthy but the ability to do the research needed to complete it is really the first thing a new applicant can use to demonstrate that they have at least the minimum needed to move forward. Typically you have to make sure you have everything in order, GT score, PT etc, in order to even be considered. If you have everything squared away and all the boxes are checked then talking to your CoC, SL/PSG/PL, is the place to start Response by SGT John C. made Nov 1 at 2019 7:29 PM 2019-11-01T19:29:40-04:00 2019-11-01T19:29:40-04:00 2019-10-26T19:55:25-04:00
