How do I check if I was a part of Delayed Entry Program prior to shipping to basic training?

How do I check if I was a part of Delayed Entry Program prior to shipping to basic training. My pay is messed up and I’m being told I need proof that I was in DEP. I swore in on 02/29/2016 and I shipped off on 05/22/2016.

It should be in your original contract of enlistment. Find that paperwork and you should be able to give all the proof that you need. If you do not still have your hard copy of this paperwork on hand, go to your online OMPF and it should be there.

I'm curious as to why DEP would change your pay any? So far as I know you don't get paid for that time?

Pay Entry Basic Date (PEBD) to compute your total service for pay purposes. Use the Basic Active Service Date (BASD) as the date from which to project your years of Active Service (AS). Delayed Entry Date (DEP) sometimes (early 1970s). But it was never used for retirement calculations , but was actually (sometimes) used for in-grade requirements IF you were taking a skills course which granted entry at a higher beginning pay grade (such as SP6-Specialist 6). This was what I saw for a Physicians Assistant and another soldier, an Army Chaplain who was finishing a master's at a seminary university - he made Major.
