How do I check if I was a part of Delayed Entry Program prior to shipping to basic training. My pay is messed up and I’m being told I need proof that I was in DEP. I swore in on 02/29/2016 and I shipped off on 05/22/2016.

Pay Entry Basic Date (PEBD) to compute your total service for pay purposes. Use the Basic Active Service Date (BASD) as the date from which to project your years of Active Service (AS). Delayed Entry Date (DEP) sometimes (early 1970s). But it was never used for retirement calculations , but was actually (sometimes) used for in-grade requirements IF you were taking a skills course which granted entry at a higher beginning pay grade (such as SP6-Specialist 6). This was what I saw for a Physicians Assistant and another soldier, an Army Chaplain who was finishing a master's at a seminary university - he made Major.

So I swore in the Army with 3 course remaining till I had a complete BA. But when I went to meps my recruiter didn’t tell me to bring official transcripts sononky my unofficial transcripts were on iPerms the day of meps. I swore in as E-1... blind to what big of an issue that was. Fast forward to returning to my unit after AIT I brought it up right away. My first Sgt promoted me to E-3 however paperwork did not follow through. Now I’m being payed as an E-2 and I’m an E-4 on a deployment. My Sgt said I need to be in the DEP program in order to recieve back pay.... I haven’t had the chance to look at the regulation for that because I spilled milk on my laptop. So I can not confirm that. I’m having pay issues that no one is willing to fix and my DOR and messed up so finance office here cannot fix them. I’m basically searching for answers and researching things on my own because my NCOIC is clueless and no one is responding to his emails from back home. I brought up my pay issue way before premob and my first line leader did nothing. They fixed everyone’s pay issues and the only reason why they are giving a little attention to mine is because I filed an EO. A month later and we are still in square 1. I just want my DOR fixed so I can be payed right and proper wait my 6 months for my next attempt and promotion to SGT.

I'm curious as to why DEP would change your pay any? So far as I know you don't get paid for that time?
