Just remember though, when making this jump you're more often than not at the mercy of the Army.

Reclassification Opportunities

An awarded MOS, especially the PMOS, represents significant time and effort, both to the Army and the Soldier. They know cause they will process you! Yes he can help you and some do but if they get caught or you tell your Chain of Command, that Recruiter can get into a lot of trouble for Recruiting from the National Guard or Reserves which is a No-No. So just tell the Recruiter you need a rough ballpark statement of what the spread is on available MOS' BEFORE you ask for a Conditional Release so that you can get placed before the Conditional Release ends. Then mention the MOS' your interested in. You have to approach the AD Recruiter knowing he can get burned if you let it slip he helped you or if he gets caught helping you via the NG or even sometimes the Station Commander can prohibit this.

When I transferred to the AD from NG in 1984 I ran into the same brick wall but just a little persuasion to the AD Recruiter and you telling them that you know your asking them to bend the rules a bit helps. Your recruiter that signs you DD Form 368 is the best resource that could help you find positions available but like others have stated it will change between now and when your conditional release is approved. After it is approved you will attend meps and that is where you will be given your actual duty station. I recently sent mine up so hopefully, in a few months, I will have feedback on whether it is approved or not and then I will look to see what is available and go back to meps. I do not plan on looking just yet because it can change and I don't want to get my hopes up.
