How do I complete the Military S1 on AKO and how do I access my military Email from home?

I am guessing you have not been to Basic Training nor AIT? If that is the case, then your unit should be very proactive in assisting you. This is due to the fact that you may not have full access to AKO yet since you are PRE-IET. I have met many new Soldiers that have yet to ship out that were just given a temporary AKO account and were unable to access it until they were done with their training. In order to truly test this, the next time you attend your unit's Battle Training Assembly, ask someone to Dual-CAC in with you (that means they are the primary log in and you are piggy-backing on), and try and log into AKO (http://www.army.mil/ako). If you end up not being able to, then there it is.

Another way to try and log in, is to get a CAC reader (available for purchase or even issue from your unit), then on your personal computer you will need to download the CAC reader program that can be found at http://www.militarycac.com and once that is all done, ensure your card is inserted into the reader and try to log into AKO. If you can do all this and access AKO from home, then you are good to go.

As for Military S1, if this is a website then I am unfamiliar with it. Your unit should be inprocessing you and/or assisting you in your inprocessing. Your unit will either have an S1 section or you will need to visit the Reserve Personnel Action Center (RPAC) for your S1 inprocessing.
