I have asked the RP support team and have not received any word. Please assist!

hit the down arrow in the top right of the page and select Settings. from there scroll all the way down to the bottom right and it says "Permanently close my account"

Exactly. That's the answer, SPC(P) (Join to see). RP does ask that departing members tell why they're leaving (completely optional), if they're willing to do so. I think knowing why folks leave helps the RP staff make adjustments to things, when they see trends in those "exit interviews." (Not an actual interview, but you get the point.)
