The tour was supposed to be 2 years but since I came down on orders to Rucker, my DEROS was adjusted. I’ve read AR 614-30 and the tables don’t seem to cover my situation. Any insight? I ask because in AR 614-30 Table 3-1, Rule # 33: Applies for officer candidate school or warrant officer appointment before being alerted for overseas duty then you are ineligible. Really it should have been done by your unit when you left. Most times they have the authority to give the award if you dont do the full tour due to something like a PCS for OCS/WOCS.
