To say it was anything short of a pain would be lying but it turned out well. (the name was chosen by the CO/1SG and troops) They had a painting of a Cobra and the Co and 1SG had coins made for the plank holders, they did a very nice job of using it as a moral booster.Response by CSM Richard StCyr made Feb 8 at 2017 3:01 PM2017-02-08T15:01:33-05:002017-02-08T15:01:33-05:00Maj John Bell2323553<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>What, what, what...? The concept of naming a company is new to me. In the Marines, 1st Battalions had Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta. 2nd Battalions had Echo, Fox, Golf and Hotel, 3rd Battalions had India, Kilo, Lima, and Mike. Didn't matter what Regiment. (Delta, Hotel, and Mike were all decommissioned sometime before I got in and none of us was secure enough in our masculinity to be in Juliette Company). Is it just that we don't have as good a memory as you dog soldiers or are we less flashy since we don't have near as many choices what "hat" to wear to formation?Response by Maj John Bell made Feb 8 at 2017 3:02 PM2017-02-08T15:02:18-05:002017-02-08T15:02:18-05:00CPT Ryan H.2323554<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don't think that data exists in a centralized location.
