There is a link on the VA.gov website to obtain missing or lost information from service members. When i went home after my first enlistment I registered with the courthouse and they obtained a copy of my DD214 along with other relevant paperwork.<br /><br />I am sorry for loss and wish you the best in finding what you need quicklyResponse by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made May 7 at 2020 11:17 AM2020-05-07T11:17:05-04:002020-05-07T11:17:05-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member5861187<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Either thru the VA (if available) or submit to the National Archives with his SSN.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made May 7 at 2020 11:34 AM2020-05-07T11:34:11-04:002020-05-07T11:34:11-04:00SGT Herbert Bollum5861231<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It should be requested by his kin....the regulations state his descendants or spouse.Response by SGT Herbert Bollum made May 7 at 2020 11:50 AM2020-05-07T11:50:44-04:002020-05-07T11:50:44-04:00SGT Herbert Bollum5861238<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>also the funeral home could get it for flag purposesResponse by SGT Herbert Bollum made May 7 at 2020 11:52 AM2020-05-07T11:52:13-04:002020-05-07T11:52:13-04:00CW3 Kevin Storm5861819<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The easiest way is to work through your local County Veterans assistance office. They can help you with the paperwork to get it submitted. There is a bonus in you going to them, most states fund these offices on how much they are used. So when you go through them, you are helping vets of the future as well.Response by CW3 Kevin Storm made May 7 at 2020 2:29 PM2020-05-07T14:29:39-04:002020-05-07T14:29:39-04:002020-05-07T11:14:03-04:00
