There is a link on the VA.gov website to obtain missing or lost information from service members. When i went home after my first enlistment I registered with the courthouse and they obtained a copy of my DD214 along with other relevant paperwork.

I am sorry for loss and wish you the best in finding what you need quickly SSG Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 07 May 2020 11:17:05 -0400 2020-05-07T11:17:05-04:00 Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made May 7 at 2020 11:34 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-do-i-get-a-copy-of-my-father-in-law-s-dd214?n=5861187&urlhash=5861187

Either thru the VA (if available) or submit to the National Archives with his SSN. They can help you with the paperwork to get it submitted. There is a bonus in you going to them, most states fund these offices on how much they are used. So when you go through them, you are helping vets of the future as well. CW3 Kevin Storm Thu, 07 May 2020 14:29:39 -0400 2020-05-07T14:29:39-04:00 2020-05-07T11:14:03-04:00
