Just so everyone is aware, I have flag Brian's account and reported it to the RP staff. That is why the R is now a V on his account. I am all for helping someone and supporting my brothers and sisters-in-arms and if I'm incorrect with what I'm assuming, that being that Brian is trying to "fake the funk" and can verify his service then I will stand here and say I'm sorry. I think his lack of interaction here is another red flag.

Think you've tagged and bagged a potential poser...hopefully not, but good catch on the small details.

If you are medically retired then the nearest military base usually can help you. You'll probably need your DD-214, an appointment with the on-base ID site and civilian ID. I can't speak with authority on everything regarding military ID's, however, you can follow up by googling the RAPIDS system for military ID's. You can locate the appropriate ID site nearest you and actually make an appointment - of course you have to be eligible for the ID.

If you're in the VA system - which is a totally different system you will get one from the VA at the address you provided. If you are not in the VA system - and are eligible for VA care - go to the VA's website: http://www.VA.gov....

Let me know if this is helpful.
