How do I get edorsements and connections on this site?

I am fairly new to Rally Point, and I am trying to make friends. I am retired from the Navy, I was injured and was medically retired back in 1994. I was medevac from my ship, and I never got to see my shipmates since then and I been trying to connect with them on here and Facebook. I got in contact with about 5 of my former shipmates, but none of them are on Rally Point. Any suggestions? Also, if you want to get to know me, I am really a cool guy, married, and hardworking. I respond to anyone's questions and I like to engage in a good conversation. So how about? Anything will be appreciated. Thank you for hearing me out.

In order to get endorsed, post great questions and responses. Get noticed and get someone's attention in order to get endorsed. In addition to Facebook, create Linkedin profile so you'll get noticed even more! Bottom line: have fun and don't get too caught up wanting more things and endorsements!!

No, I never heard of it until now. The only site I tried before Rally Point was VetFriends. Thanks for pointing me to the right direction.

Welcome to the Rally Club. You can try to look up your shipmates by name or mos. also let the shipmates you have contacted know about rally point, then they can also spread the scuttlebutt about it.

Yes, that is great advice. I will contact the ones I know, and hopefully we can all meet here. I know in October there will be a reunion for the USS Ranger, so I will definitely spread the word.
