Retired in 1981 after 26 years of active duty. Was provided 50 4" X 6" sheets of Microfiche service records with each containing up to 50 images reduced from 81/2 X 11" letter sized pages. The *X magnifier provided was not functional then and nver healed.
Would like to get the MICROFICHE translated to PDF readable file on a DVD or memory stick/thumb-drive.
Commercial sources for this TASKED are sized for much larger transfers, so will appreciate hearing from any RP member who has had this done at a place that serves Veterans; PLEASE INCLUDE THE CONTACT INFORMATION FOR THE VENDOR.

I think the easiest route would be to ask for a copy of your records from HRC. They don't provide microfiche anymore, so you'll get actual records. Or, if you have originals it's too easy to scan documents now.

Go to the NPRC website and request your OMPF, medical, and what ever else you need. https://www.archives.gov/personnel-records-center/federal-records

If you,log into the VA eBenefits web portal, your service records may (I say again may) be accessible through the eBenefits dashboard.
