I would like a combat deployment, but any deployment will do. Tour of duty has specific locations I would like to deploy, but does not list my MOS. Would reclassing even be a consideration? Thank you all for your vast knowledge over the years! How do I get on deployment? There has to be at least ONE unit going to Kuwait that needs a mechanic Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 29 at 2024 1:27 PM 2024-04-29T13:27:38-04:00 2024-04-29T13:27:38-04:00 SSgt Christophe Murphy 8741092 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>We aren&#39;t at War with anyone directly at the moment. You can&#39;t apply for a deployment to a War that isn&#39;t happening. I am sure if you widen your search you could find somebody deploying that needs your MOS. I would warn against reclassing just for a deployment. That is a long term change for short term gain. Unless it is just something you wanted to do already but it&#39;s a process to reclass and get trained up so you won&#39;t immediately be deploying anyways. I would just work with your Unit to locate a NG Unit deploying that needs your MOS. That&#39;s what I would do if you want to deploy sooner rather than later Response by SSgt Christophe Murphy made Apr 29 at 2024 3:40 PM 2024-04-29T15:40:41-04:00 2024-04-29T15:40:41-04:00 SGM Mikel Dawson 8742387 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Check out this page. I&#39;m sure there must be more than a few medical units or facilities that would be happy to pick-up a qualified reservist. Not to mention the advantage your home unit would gain by having a qualified and more experienced 91B in house. If the combat part really interest you check with JRTC, NTC. etc. It as close as you can get to combat, between wars.
