PFC Private RallyPoint Member 5779787 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So I went from basic to AIT here at Fort Huachuca and because I&#39;m here for 42 weeks in my orders it says I can have my vehicle and a house if I had a family. I&#39;d like to get my vehicle here to make life a little more enjoyable but I&#39;m not sure how to go about it? It&#39;s my understanding that the DoD reimburses you for one vehicle move? Do I even qualify for it because my PCS was from basic? Any help or advice would be appreciated, I already talked to a shipper about a quote who handles lots of military deals. Thanks! How do I get reimbursed for shipping my vehicle? 2020-04-15T18:37:11-04:00 PFC Private RallyPoint Member 5779787 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So I went from basic to AIT here at Fort Huachuca and because I&#39;m here for 42 weeks in my orders it says I can have my vehicle and a house if I had a family. They will direct you where you need to go for this process. However, the Army does not and will not pay for POV to be shipped CONUS to CONUS. They only pay CONUS to OCONUS and vice versa. On your next PCS move they will pay you millage to drive your car to your next duty station or ship it over seas. That’s what the roads are for. If you are allowed to after the the travel ban has been lifted then the only way you are getting your car is taking leave and driving the car there from where ever it may be. The Army never ships a vehicle state to state except Hawaii. But I would still get with your Company and make sure they allow you to have a car and at what phase.
