How do I go about finding all the awards I should have received?

My DD214 only has non medal/ribbon awards except for good conduct. I know there are more. At least my sea service deployment and overseas service should be on there. If they’re not on the DD214, where do I go to find out and obtain them?

Sgt Jerry Mays this will be an uphill slog. Did you keep any documentation? Any orders, certificates etc? Why did you sign your 214 if it wasn't right?

Do you have an old Ribbon rack to see what awards you think you have so you aren't chasing shadows?
For individual awards, like a Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal should be issued on a permanent order that might still exist at the issuing HQ. Try vetrecs first.

If you are talking about other awards beyond that, like you are eligible for a decoration but were not awarded it while in service or shortly there after, I can't help you. Your profile doesn't have any information. Can't even nail down what era or where you served. That would shed light on Service and campaign medals. You'll have to do some research based on your individual service.
