SPC Kole Cordier 4640476 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hey guys so I got my contract and am confused about the dates. It says I need to be at the MEPS on August 5th but when you look below that it says &quot;start date August 16th&quot;. Does that mean I am not scheduled to go to Sand Hill until the 16th meaning like 10 days at 30th? I thought reception was only supposed to be like a few days max unless there is something weird that happens like a holiday weekend. Any help would be appreciated. How do I interpret my MEPS report date and OSUT start date? 2019-05-16T10:16:02-04:00 SPC Kole Cordier 4640476 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hey guys so I got my contract and am confused about the dates. I was there around 10 days-14 days. Feels a whole lot longer because you&#39;re not doing any real training; you&#39;ll lose a lot of sleep; you&#39;ll stand a lot, you get your shots (Mmm...peanut butter!); if you get to sit, it will probably be on those 70 year old wooden benches (if they brought them over from the old 30AG reception building); but they&#39;ll feed you well...maybe too well. I spent about 9 days there back in 90. Not much you can do about it. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. And remember to just play the game. Don’t take crap personally and you will do fine. I believe that may have been my only hard date. You’ll most likely spend more than a few days at reception I think mine was a week but the 16th may be a projected date and subject to change. They don&#39;t allow you to do any real PT at 30th AG because they don&#39;t want you getting hurt before you get to your actual training platoon. When I went through there (Mar 2007) we did push-ups, sit-ups, and other stuff that didn&#39;t require much space or equipment. It all depends on when the next class starts. So yes holidays could effect it.
