How do I join a support battalion for Special Forces (SF)?

I'm a 11B stationed at fort Bragg and am airborne qualified. And was wondering how do I join the support battalion for SF

I'd recommend you speak with your S1 for better insight. The fact that you are co-located with them makes it that much easier.

The last time I checked group won't take a 11B. But you could go to SFAS

If I am not mistaken, SF use to recruit and post signs to join them, but if you are trying to get into their Support Battalion, use your chain of command to see if they can gather some information from your Battalion CSM to see if he knows their Battalion CSM.

I was with 3rd Group from 2008 till 2015, just contact a 3rd Group Renton NCO for information on needed support MOSs and he will give you a recommendation for an MOS change and then take down your information so once you complete your new MOS training they will get you reporting orders. I worked with a few former infantry to signal soldiers.

Have some pride in what you do we don't support we fight. If you want to be in group go get your long tab and be the main effort. Not that we don't need support.

There are no 11B positions in the Support Battalion. Now if you want to be in an SF unit, go talk to a SF recruiter to become an 18 Series

20th SFG are in KY AL TX and somewhere else they are the support group hope that helps I have friends that are in there and 20th is a NG SFG as well as 19th SFG.

First, you have to give up your man card. It seems you're willing to do so. Then you can wait to reclass. I'm sure the infantry will be better off. If you want an easy life why shouldn't you have it. The infantry if much harder in real life than some video game.

SF support? If you were a real 11B youd be asking how to go to SFAS and not how cook for group dudes. But reclass to answer your question.

Hmm...why would you specifically want to go to a Group Support Battalion? If you think being in a Group is going to give you a leg up for SFAS your wrong. They don't care if you served in Group at SFAS or the Q-Course. It's some great conversations, but that's about it. You're better off staying 11B and then going to SFAS from there. Besides there are no 11B positions in the GSB or any line BNs.

Look PFC Private RallyPoint Member, I'm going to spell this out for you, since your DS failed to do so when you were in OSUT;
1. Infantry is the primary FIGHTING force of the Army. We are not Pak, Supply, or Cooks.
2. We do not support people. They support US!
3. If you want to work with the Special Forces community, then get your E-4 (because the waiver process is a pain in the ass), and drop a packet at SORB. It's on Ardennes, and it's really easy to find.
4. If you want to support someone else, then turn in your cord and those disks that you wasted 15 weeks to get, and reclass to a support MOS.
5. Infantry doesn't work in a support battalion for SF. They have Division for that. The support guys in the SF battalions are Cooks, Riggers, Pak clerks, and Supply.

In short, you have been in the Army long enough to know how to wipe your own ass and that's about it. You should not be looking at a reclass option, or moving to support another unit. You need to be sacking up and learning your job, as well as the job of the man above you (ie., your team leader). I am in the process of pursuing a CMF 18 series myself, and I can tell you, if you want to be able to bounce around and work with everyone and their mother and do jobs that aren't your own, Special Forces is not the way for you. I grew up around it, and I have been good friends with operators my entire life. You are Infantry. Be Infantry. Learn it well, and apply it before you start looking at doing other stuff. You would only be wasting your time and those who sought to train you.

There are zero 11B slots in a SF Groups MTOE.
