Hello my names is James Kordell. I served in the US Navy from 1995-1999 i was a Damage Controlmen. I was honorable discharged with the rank of E-4/Petty Officer 3rd class. My ship was the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70. While serving we were sent on 2 deployments or better know as WESTPAC. Also participated in a RIMPAC. While on both deployments my ship served in Operation Desert Strike and Operation Desert Fox. Medals received while serving range from good conduct, national defense, battle E, and so on. While serving I was involved in an incident aboard that after discharged led to me to being considered, service connected disabled through the VA. My point to this whole message is I would like your advice on a case of stolen valor, a case that after I called him out on what he was doing and got him to admit to what he was doing. He is still doing it. In a nutshell what he is doing is saying he was a Special Forces Marine along with other things that Marines just don't do. He's even got a story about his whole unit being killed except him, that was only wounded. I probably wouldn't be so upset if he stopped after being caught. No, he's even gone as far to use his "status" to get jobs. Another reason this upsets me is I come from a family that most of us have served. Some have even died protecting this great country I've also got friends who have retired and some that are still serving, and God rest their souls some that have died. Please advise on what I should do to stop this person from doing what he is doing. If you'd like proof or evidence I can make that happen. Thank you for you time and God Bless America!

James Kordell

James, I worked with a guy who claimed to be a SEAL quite a few times. Nice, fat, out of shape sack of crap salesman at a company that bought my company. I have a friend who was a SEAL, and he told me to ask him where his Budweiser was, and if he didn't put his right hand over his heart, to let him have it with both barrels. I heard him telling one of the young kids who worked there that he was a SEAL, so I walked over and asked him where his Budweiser was. When he replied "In my fridge", I walked him out back and told him that if I ever heard him claim to be a SEAL ever again, in person or second hand, that the the friend I had who was an actual SEAL would be paying him a visit to solve his problem. He never claimed it again. If you know anyone connected to one of the many Special Ops units, let them know who he is, they'll gladly take care of him for you.

It is illegal to gain employment through falsification of military service. Also SOCOM would love to fetch this one.

I would say "do what needs to done" but remember, you can only control and influence what you can control and influence. Unfortunately, there are many imposters roaming around. I would email these folks, they are good at getting after these folks.

I just wanted to make this comment. I was in the Marine Corps for 6 years and 100 days. I loved it very much. When I did my regular allotted 4 years, I got out and tryed doing civilian life it scared the shit out of me...so I went back in to try and adapt back to civilian life....I'm 68 years old, the only thing that hurt me was my hearing and my back.....I only get 20% of disability, and it took me 25 years to get it......I just went back in to try for an increase. Hopefully I'll get it. Doc, who examine me said I should...what ever the increase would be, will be of greatly needed.

Ok so this is a little different than most of you’ll I have the up most respect for all that have served I was raised by my grandfathers and was the most important men in my life,,
One was a first petty officer navy spent 21 years tried to follow him but heath was not good a huff 2nd was part of mounted patrol navy also and other was army so I have so history there and very proud of them ok to get to the BS I met this person that posed to be a navy man and we had talked for a while sent me lost of pick of a navy man-over this time that we had chatted well then he gave me a story about his son getting hurt and his arm going cut open bad and it started to bug me like really bug me and I was thinking wait a min when my gpa who resides me we had medical from the navy for my gpa my grandma and for myself cus I was basically his kid to to them having custody of me so if this superson was in the navy why wasn’t he go to the er on ease and his son should be covered and I called him out and he started to push me for mor money and when I told him to take the boy to the base Dr.he got mad then I called him out for stolen valor and he got mad at me so this is what concern me is that he is in personating
A see an and using these-mans picks trying to profit off his work and that is sick so I have all the picks and the correspondence between us and I think someone needs to find the soldier That he is impersonating and at least let this man know and shut this man down
He needs to be shut down I just don’t know we’re to start or who to report it to so please help or a least advice

thank you Sam.
