How do I start the process to reclassify to 79S, Career Counselor?

How to reclass to 79R? i am currently deployed and want to start on the process. any want to point me in the right direction? im looking to try something different. Any one with experience in this job field,can you explain to me how it's like? Also what paper work will i need and who do i need to get with?

Just to be clear, 79R is Recruiter. 79S is Career Counselor. If you are interested, you must contact your unit Career Counselor. They will assist in determining if you qualify to reclass into the MOS.

You can't. The current policy is no SSG's (non-waiverable), it went into effect 1 October this year.

SFC where could I find this policy? im thinking of recruiting as a secondary idea. what would Broadening assignment would you recommend?

SSG (Join to see) it's in the policy messages that your career counselor has. Also, it would require a recommendation from your current career counselor.
