How do I switch from being a National Guard officer to active duty?

How difficult is it for a national guard officer to switch to regular Army active duty? What is the process?

Tricky question! 2 things ought to happen: 1) Regular Army gives you a thumbs up and 2) your NG releases you. You should contact the branch manager at Army HRC for detail information, once done just follow the process.

You need to submit a 368 form to your 1st general officer if he or she signs it you have it. Than you should be good to go get with you retention NCO in your unit

See if there is a need for your job skills, if not, you probably can’t transition, all about openings and needs. Plus other factors such as age etc
