A lot of conservatives seem to want to criticize the Commander-in-Chief for his response to the Chattanooga shooting. However, in the rush to shove everything into a neat little box because the shooter has a funny-sounding name, I think we're ignoring the fact that this guy was from Kuwait.

That's the country that we LIBERATED back in 1991! They're one of our staunchest allies. Our troops pretty much have free reign in their country. Our servicemembers are welcome everywhere there. We use that country as a staging point for all of our operations in the Middle East.

So, what do we do when an event doesn't fit into our picture of the world, when a tragedy just doesn't make any sense, when there is no clear target for our outrage?

A lot of people seem to want to just strike out at Islamic extremism. There's a two-minute rant making the rounds on Facebook from some blonde news anchor in provocative clothing. But, isn't that what got us into this mess in the first place -- invading someone randomly because they disliked us? And, do we really want to become a country like that -- where we just line up ten of the "usual suspects" every time we're attacked?
