How do we reward and motivate? Of course I don't think autonomy would work very well in the military, possibly in certain MOSs but not in the majority.

I believe the Army has tried very hard to instill in everyone that they belong to something greater than themselves. The Army Profession, The Army Values, etc. I just don't believe the force as a whole is mature enough to understand it in depth. The vast majority of the service is 18-25 year old males, it's not that they're immature, it's just that they aren't fully mature.

I concur that the rewards/awards system definitely needs an overhaul as does the punishment system. I am not smart enough to come up with a solution and the Army has been "rolling along" this way for so long I don't think anything will changeResponse by CSM Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 24 at 2015 7:14 AM2015-02-24T07:14:03-05:002015-02-24T07:14:03-05:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member494675

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrkrvAUbU9Y

Hopefully this one works.
