How do you determine your data usage while streaming?

I seem to be unable to ask the proper question to achieve the correct answer. How does one figure out the amount of data "MB" one uses while "streaming" Fox Nation (for example)?

Windows and wireless devices have options to track usage, but I don't know about hourly/daily etc. In windows you can open task manager, then performance, and select wi-fi. It will show you real-time speeds only. If it's Win10 you can open settings, then network/internet, then status, and finally data usage. Can't help you with phone but it's in there.
