I'd imagine the spouses of Chris's team member had the same worries and such she did. I feel a bit like she's using his name to get somewhere she couldn't get otherwise and I don't think its right. How do you feel about Chris Kyle's wife writing a book? 2015-07-02T13:38:20-04:00 LCpl Mark Lefler 786328

I guess I'm not thrilled about this, writing about Chris's extraordinary military life is one thing but his wife, meh, I'm not sure her experiences were any more unique then any other specops spouse or even anyone who went to a warzone in general. Sure, her experiences will match up to what most wives go through both in and out of the SPCOPS community but she knows and understands the draw and power Chris, his story and his name bring to the table. Maybe by her writing this book, she will reach another spouse who's husband comes home from war a different man than then one she said goodbye to. Maybe that spouse is looking for ideas on what she can do to help with her husband's transition back from war rather than feeling hopeless or alone.

Not every book has to be some sort of grand world changing novel. Sometimes hearing the story from someone you recognize as being in your shoes can be so much more helpful than any of the great novels on some top 10 list.
