As I sit here watching CNN, I realize we are under act as Americans! The POTUS states it was an act of terror and hate! It makes me feel tense, because the enemy is within and can strike anytime. We must stand as a Nation and defeat this ideology of ISIS!

Well at least Obama didn't say this terrorist Omar Siddicki Mateen killing 50 & wounding 52 was an act of workplace violence. He doesn't want to use the term Islamic Terrorism for some reason and would not take any questions.

Angry at the senselessness of it. Angry at the nonsensical "debates" to come; from religion, to guns, to hate speech, everyone will pick a side, stand their ground, and we all just end up hating each other even more. There is little humanity left in the world. I'm frustrated that our definitions of terrorism have become based primarily on personal ideology and political bias rather than focusing on true dangers. This has hindered our ability to have intelligent discussions on any topic of controversy.

I don't foresee and end to this type of senseless terrorist activity, some are just home grown and want to have their 15 minutes of fame. Just take precautions when out on the town. I just read online that FBI had info indicating the east coast of Florida may be attacked. Some persons by name were identified, as well as community leader positions. Read with much skepticism .

Well this news seems to pit two groups that the Obama administration is trying to support - Muslims and homosexuals SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.
Since the perpetrator of the massacre Omar Mateen is an "American-born man who'd pledged allegiance to ISIS" was the one who "gunned down 50 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando"
It is noteworthy that "Mateen called 911 around the time of the attack to pledge allegiance to ISIS and mentioned the Boston bombers, according to a U.S. official."
While I deplore the action of the gunman I expect more "craziness" of this sort to occur over thus summer.
I also concur with CPT Jack Durish's response. I certainly hope the next holder of the oval office will call a spade a spade and not kowtow to any particular group or groups.

How do I feel, well I have never been one to hold back on what I think so here it goes. It sucks and if anyone thinks that this sort of horrific violence is going to stop are just kidding themselves. This shit is going to continue until we get someone in the Oval Office that will have some balls and take charge and control of what the hell is happening in our Country. We have all these Terrorist, ISIS bastards all over the US. They are in every freaking State and new one's are popping up all the time. We have so many Sleeper Cells and it's way past time that the Administration get off their asses and call it like it is. These freaking radical terrorist are in our neighborhoods and we all must remain diligent and this is not going to go away by it self. What the fuck is wrong with people anyways? Somebody, somewhere had to have some sort of an idea that this act was going to take place? Things like this just don't pop up over night. Damn it all, this shit infuriates me to no end. We need to take our Country back. We need to send these terrorist sons a bitches a strong message that we , as a Nation, will not tolerate such acts of violence against our people and that we will fight them until we eradicate all of them from our Country. We use to be a Strong Country and no one dared to fuck with us because if they ever did, they would get the raft that they deserve. Well it's time that we take back our Country and make it strong and safe again against these ass wipes that think they can come here and kill us any time they see fit. Yes it sucks and it's time we all make our Country strong again and beat these ass hole and give them what they truly deserve. And the POTUS want to shut down Gitmo. WTF-Over! God, is his Term over yet? Anyway, my daughter and her family live near where this happened and I had a friend call me this morning from Florida who had friends of his at that night club. And all the Administration wants to do is disarm us. Are you kidding me right now? I'll be damned if I'll go anywhere without my freaking sidearm and if anyone ever tries to take my right to carry away, well all I'll say is good fucking luck to them.

Completely pissed off. No other words to describe it. We need to seriously rethink our strategy as a nation and develop realistic ways to defend against lone gunmen. Civilian interdiction via personal concealed/open carry of firearms is my suggestion.

Here we have an attack on US soil against Americans and instead of becoming the unifying force like we did during 9/11, we still remain a divided and fractured Nation putting our petty squabbles above identifying and eliminating our common enemy. I saw posts from the anti-gay crowd. I saw posts from the anti-gun crowd. I even saw posts from the anti-Obama crowd. I am very pissed off about this premeditated, senseless, attack on Americans. I saw a couple of posts denying this was terrorism, both saying because no bombs or explosives were used it should not be considered terrorism but a simple mass murder. This was a terrorist attack on the American way of life by a home grown terrorist. He became radicalized to hate the freedoms on the American way of life. It doesn't matter to me who the targets were. They were Americans, living life the best way they knew how, and they were attacked and or killed for it. This terrorist saw them as a soft target that would not fight back. If just one person in that bar had a concealed carry permit the number killed or wounded would have been much reduced. Marteen reportedly called 911 and pledged his alligence to ISIS while still holding hostages. He was also someone who despised people who were different from himself. He seemed to hate many groups like Latinos, women, gays, lesbians and transgendered. As an afterthought President Obama claimed this was the largest mass murder in American history. It seems to me the 911 attack killed about 3000 people. The massacre of Wounded Knee killed between 150 and 300. Both of those numbers are larger than the 49 or 50 killed in Orlando. Maybe President Obama just has a different method of counting. President Obama does not want to admit this is a Muslim problem but I really don't think we need another 10,000 unvetted Syrians in our country. If only 1/10th of one percent of them are ISIS plants that is ten terrorists he let in country to reek havick on innocent Americans like those in Orlando. Enough said!

I also don't have much confidence that Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton have any clue about international terrorism or national security. Trump's answer is to ban Muslims and bomb the shit out of ISIS, and Hillary wants to ban military style weapons and follow Obama's lead on defeating ISIS in Syria. . When they are both asked to expand on their ideas about defeating terrorism at home they change the subject and blame each other.

I think that General Ray Odierno, and General Dunford's recent comments on defeating ISIS seems to indicate our military is having some successes but more could have been done earlier if we had better direction from the Obama Administration regarding the strategy to defeat ISIS..there were too many mixed signals to the Pentagon and too many disagreements between the Military Planners with Susan Rice and Valerie Jarrett. Chuck Hagel was dumped because of these clashes with the White House and Ash Carter is getting frustrated trying to convince Obama that more has to be done to eliminate the ISIS threat to our country.
General Joe Dunford stood next to Obama yesterday at this press conference so I hope Obama is listening to this Marine General and NOT Valerie Jarrett or Susan Rice in this war on terror/
