How do you fulfill National guard IRR reporting requirements?

I have 94 days left in IRR, then my mso expires. Until about three months ago, I had no idea that there were requirements for people in the IRR. There was zero information given about the IRR during the day long ets briefing when I got out almost 2 years ago. Apparently, your supposed to report address changes (done), health, and some other shit. I have no idea how I'm supposed to do that. I can't do a virtual muster because HRC has me listed as still being an active guardsman, in a derivative UIC from an IMA deployment. Both my unit and state are complete shit, and won't give me any help. I normally wouldn't care, but I've seen forums where people have discussed this issue, and the possible implications. The biggest issue is being released for unsatisfactory performance/attendance type shit. Anybody who has experience in this issue, it would be great to get some info.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. You have 94 days left in IRR after spending almost 2 years in bliss (not FT Bliss.) And I honestly don't know anyone who went through IRR who had to attend any muster, virtual or otherwise. You have done your part to the best of your ability. If the Army REALLY needed you back in, they will send you a letter in snail mail.

How do you know HRC has you listed in a Guard unit? Did you call them?
Do you have orders assigning you to the IRR and/or a NGB-22?

My advice is the following:
1. Gather your records
2. Get in touch with someone who can verify your current status (IRR, or Guard status). You can directly work with HRC (888-ARMY-HRC), but you may have better luck with a local reserve career counselor.
3. If 2 does not match 1, get your record fixed. Either your IRR assignment order or your NGB-22 should suffice for this.

HRC will not discharge you if they think you are in the Guard. I have seen many soldiers assessed as UNSAT when they rightly should have been discharged. A discharge is the only thing that releases you from your service obligation; ETS is irrelevant if you don't have that paper in hand.

If you don't have your order or NGB-22, you are in for a battle. You'll need to bug your old unit, their higher, or even the state until they are sick of hearing from you.

Go get a DD Form 214 blanket and wear the SOB like a cape. It will protect you for the last 90 days.
