Now that I am back stateside i would like to work in that field but I am unsure of how to do so exactly. What should i study? Are there any books? Any Internships? Any work study groups. I really would like some guidance, whatever guidance that can be applied, if possible. I was told that Cybersecurity is a great start, so now im Obtaining my associates in it, with this actually be helpful? How do you get into the Electronic Warfare field?2018-07-10T19:31:22-04:00SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member3782622<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am an NG soldier in DC, I have a certification in Counter Radio Electronic Warfare Systems, that i received while deployed in Afghanistan. They have school info on how to join. It won’t be too hard to get accepted as a NG. Just have the right ASVAB scores. As far as study material...they will have information on in what to study. I would suggest start getting familiar with frequency bands such as VHF, UHF. Practice some basic math skills too because you will do some math. Antenna theory is also a good place to look too.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 10 at 2018 7:36 PM2018-07-10T19:36:21-04:002018-07-10T19:36:21-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member3782644<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Look up the Association of Old Crows, crows.org. It’s a good place to start for civilian jobs in the ew field. Check out any companies that made any of the ew equipment you used. You can look into Civilian HAM radio classes as a means to introduction into RF Propagation. Or you know, YouTube RF Propagation. Also go on <a target="_blank" href="https://armypubs.army.mil">https://armypubs.army.mil</a> and Download FM 3-36 to start.Response by WO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 11 at 2018 3:48 PM2018-07-11T15:48:28-04:002018-07-11T15:48:28-04:00Maj Walter Kilar3788495<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Join the Association of Old Crows (AOC) and read through the journals to get an idea of the schools out there. In my opinion Georgia Tech has the best EW classes. If you are new to college, then get a foundation in RF. A science-based associate's degree in cybersecurity is a decent start, but in my opinion you need to go with electrical engineering.Response by Maj Walter Kilar made Jul 12 at 2018 7:57 PM2018-07-12T19:57:40-04:002018-07-12T19:57:40-04:00LTC Eugene Chu4012923<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Look at LinkedIn for job postings and blog posts. If you go to school, avoid for-profit places and ensure that place is accredited. Make sure your security clearance is also still valid since that is also a prerequisite for some defense employers.Response by LTC Eugene Chu made Oct 2 at 2018 10:08 AM2018-10-02T10:08:19-04:002018-10-02T10:08:19-04:00PVT Prentice Slitaz4136979<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Friend me, My green sister once a soldier always a soldier.. offensive-security.com OSCP is need to know and cybrary.it learn Hacking msg meResponse by PVT Prentice Slitaz made Nov 18 at 2018 10:05 AM2018-11-18T10:05:55-05:002018-11-18T10:05:55-05:002018-07-10T19:31:22-04:00
