I suppose it is a normal reaction. Getting bit by a dog. Told their is someone ready to get you, Someone actually holding a gun at you. But how do you get your crew ready to fight and the anxiety, the paranoia possibly, all the thoughts the brain will have?

The end result is you must still win and all things are on the table. God is on your side especially if you have defensive posture.

In my experience, when rounds start cracking over your head and the realization that someone is trying to kill you sets in, your mindset changes. Training kicks in and you begin to do the job you were trained to do.
I had one of my guys say he was done fighting and we got him the hell out of there lickety-split. That shit can be corrosive to morale and unit cohesion. That turd was sent down to guard the swimming pool at the Air Force base instead.
