The only time I won't accept a request is when the individual has proven themselves to be toxic, deceptive or inflammatory. I don't really see why people would like to add me as a contact, but I guess they have their reasons. I would only turn down request if it's obvious that the person is a complete nutcase. Not sure why people send contact requests when they have never spoken to me. I don't consider someone a contact unless, at some point, we've contacted each other. Seems like most of the people who have sent me a contact request in this manner are pretty high up on the RP influence points. A quantitative influence point system that is based on how many contacts you have seems silly to me, because it encourages people to "contact" people that they have absolutely no connection to.
