Eggs are big business in this nation and in many other nations. My parents encouraged me to eat eggs and apparently i did when I was very young - based on a ceramic egg cup with my initials :-)
My father spent time growing up on a farm in Somerset, England in the 1930s with his aunt and uncle [sister and brother] who managed the farm. I visited the farm with my parents when we visited in 1963.
As a child and an adolescent, I rejected eggs at every opportunity but sometimes could not detect that eggs were in some my favorite foods such as cake. After I joined the Army, I learned to eat green eggs from mermite cans in the field - easier in the dark. I learned that I enjoyed eggs scrambled with meats and some vegetable matter:-)
I expect many of you like chicken eggs, some like duck eggs while others like fish eggs (caviar, etc.) which I never learned to enjoy:-)

LTC Stephen F. You didn't have a survey category of all the ways you can prepare and egg. I like them everyway known to man. I eat scrambled in the morning because they are easier to make and I'm usually in a hurry to get on RP to see what is happening and trying to get caught up before I start my real job! LOL! As usual I'm out of "votes up" my friend and I will catch you tomorrow as a play catch up from being gone three days.

MAJ Ken Landgren
SCPO Carl Wayne Boss - You make a great point that eggs can be prepared in a myriad of ways. The Japanese make a dish with steaming rice, raw egg mixed in well, soy sauce, and seaweed.

I cant think of a way I won't eat eggs except raw, I don't like too runny if sunny side up. I like them alone or with other foods as well Stir Fry, Omelettes, etc. Duck eggs are good too, they are just a bit stronger in taste. Not really into caviar. I have eaten plain fish eggs, fried, to me not much taste there.

I prefer my eggs sunny side up. I want the white (albumin) completely done with the yolk runny. Best breakfast I had in the Marine Corps was two eggs sunny side up then a layer of O’Brian potatoes and top that off with some good ole SOS. Get a bottle of Hot Sauce and a cup of chocolate milk. Start at the top and work your way to the bottom
. Drink your Chocolate Milk and you were good for five hours.

I enjoy omelettes with a couple different cheeses, sausage, bacon, etc with a side of home fried potatoes. I occasionally like eggs scrambled with sausage and cheese. Some of my favorite eggs are in stories such as Dr Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham.

SSgt Terry P.
PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - Most states and the Federal commission have regulated the harvesting of sturgeon and other fish eggs to the point that license and permits are so expensive and the fines so great, probably wouldn't be a good idea to try that. lol
I caught and processed fish for caviar and others for roe for a few years until the regulations got so strict it was not feasible anymore.
Some of it is quite tasty even though it doesn't come from sturgeon and it is very healthy for the system.
