This weekend will be my very first Snow Storm and my experience with snow is pretty much what I've got in my time in Fort Meade. I guess the preparation is pretty much the same to a regular storm but, from where I'm from, we don't have to worry about frozen pipes or whatsoever.

What are your personal practices preparing for a Snow Storm? Any family game you enjoy?

Simple. If you don't have to go outside, don't. If the roads are insane then stay home. I know work is important but it's not worth dying for.

No problem dying in a combat situation. At all. Dying for driving in a snow storm is STUPID. Just sayin.

It's hard to tell when you can't drive any more (we're pretty good at driving in snow and they're REALLY good at keeping roads clear) but if it's getting bad, just go pick her up! I ALWAYS tell my people (as do most companies) to go home when it's bad out!

SGT(P) (Join to see) - Also, as soon as they call any kind of "winter advisory" to stay off the roads, it's TIME!! This storm coming up the East Coast is a MAJOR winter storm! Don't let them tell you differently!!

Make sure you always have a snow brush in the car!!! I'm in Rochester, NY (up by Buffalo) and it's -10 (that's cold :)). Keep your sense of humor!!

Ever had a coat of ice one half inch thick over your entire vehicle? That one "snowed" me, the Sun finally resolved the situation.

MCPO Roger Collins - Actually, in 1991 we had one of the worst ice storms in history. When you walked outside you heard crackling sounds of the branches breaking under the pressure of the ice! We were without power for 14 days!

MCPO Roger Collins - Agreed, when the sun was shining everything sparkled like diamonds. It was breathtaking.
