How do you specifically feel about the whole debate on football players taking a knee during the national anthem instead of standing? I'm just curious as to what you think about it. Basically, how does it make you feel?

"I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
You've asked THREE fuzzy questions. And I suspect you don't realize that's what you've done.
"How do you FEEL about about the debate?"
"What do you THINK about IT?" (Which "IT", the act of kneeling during the Anthem, or the debate about kneeling for the Anthem?)
"How does IT make you FEEL?" (Again, which "IT"?)
I'm answering the question, "What do I THINK about people/NFL players taking a knee during the playing of the National Anthem?" My answer is the first line I posted above.
I took an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Not the Flag of America. It's the Constitution that is the substance and value of this Country, not the Flag. That's what I THINK.
What I FEEL when I see someone take a knee is, "Something's wrong. Why is he doing that?" Most people who comment on this issue are self-centered in their response. "I'M offended." Essentially, they're selfish: this is how I feel. This is why I'M offended.
Taking a knee in front of a stadium full of fans and millions of TV viewers takes some nerve and commitment. Conviction like that deserves a hearing. Which brings me back to...

No, I did not realize that, but thank you for telling me. I'm willing to learn new things. By "it," I did mean the act of kneeling during the national anthem. I'm sorry. I'm still in high school, so there's a lot I don't know about how I should talk and phrase things.

It makes me angry that these pampered one-dimension brats assume their posturing reflects anything other than showboating. There are so many things that they are disrespecting.

Insulted, being 4th generation military, I'm personally hurt that they would choose to protest during the national anthem. My question to you though is, what have they done other than protest to help alleviate the "issue." Also, what is the issue or rather the root cause of said issue.

I don't think they've done anything else really. At least not as a while together. There may be individuals that are doing more, but if they have, then I haven't heard anything about it. All i know is the issue has something to do with racism. I am with you on thw insulted part to be honest. I mean I only just joined the military last month, but I still feel insulted. Mainly because my dad, uncle, and boyfriend have already served their time so I feel insulted for them.
