How do you stay motivated? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-do-you-stay-motivated

So I work in a BN S3 shop as a "Battle Captain" here in GTMO, and as of late I'm finding it really hard to stay motivated when comming into work and completing tasks. I'm not saying I just blow stuff off and push it away, I complete the tasks that I am given and perform my duties, but it's getting pretty mind numbing. Without getting into specifics the whole shop pretty much is the same way. Morale is extremely low for most people, and I don't see it getting better any time soon? So does anyone have any good tips/suggestions that could help? Is it possible to begin cross training into other specialties in the same shop? Or even cross training in other collocated shops? A new intellectual demand may bring folks around by requiring them to be more involved and focused. Cross training is always a great career development tool as well.

You may also try an off duty team builder that is completely unrelated to everybody's primary duties.
CMC Robert Young Sat, 01 Feb 2014 18:35:38 -0500 2014-02-01T18:35:38-05:00 Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 1 at 2014 6:58 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-do-you-stay-motivated?n=48936&urlhash=48936

In addition - do you have the desire to take on-line college courses to keep you busy? LTC Private RallyPoint Member Sat, 01 Feb 2014 18:58:23 -0500 2014-02-01T18:58:23-05:00 Response by TSgt Private RallyPoint Member made May 30 at 2014 4:00 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-do-you-stay-motivated?n=138652&urlhash=138652

Sir,
Has your situation improved? Has any changes been made to off duty activities or official duties? I worked Low Observables in the AF and had a lot of morale issues in the shop I was in. I can offer up a few suggestions but they may not apply in your situation. TSgt Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 30 May 2014 04:00:07 -0400 2014-05-30T04:00:07-04:00 2014-02-01T18:21:09-05:00
