There are multiple threads of this same topic on the right hand side of this screen (marked similar discussions). Go to this link. http://www.usarec.army.mil/hq/warrant/

Step two. Talk to a warrant officer. Make an appointment. Use your research to ask good questions. Preferably you will want to make an appointment with a warrant officer of the specialization you are interested in. A more junior warrant officer is likely to understand the ins and outs of the selection process. A more senior warrant will help you discover what being a warrant is all about.

Step three. Understand the desire is there, but if you are doing anything other than Aviation, you need to build your technical expertise and leadership skills so you are competitive. Warrant officers are absolutely critical to the technically complex branches, especially maintenance and supply.

Step four. Set your goals and commit. The rest is all checklist and packet building. Prepare for WOC physically and mentally.

U.S. Army Recruiting Command's Warrant Officer Recruiting Information Site

Response by LTC Jason Mackay made Jul 17 at 2017 9:50 PM 2017-07-17T21:50:59-04:00 2017-07-17T21:50:59-04:00 CW5 Private RallyPoint Member 2742803

http://www.usarec.army.mil/hq/warrant/

U.S. Army Recruiting Command's Warrant Officer Recruiting Information Site

Response by CW5 Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 18 at 2017 1:28 PM 2017-07-18T13:28:17-04:00 2017-07-18T13:28:17-04:00 CW3 Private RallyPoint Member 2746610

As others have said this question has been asked often on here already, but since I have a few minutes I'll give you the basics... The process varies from branch to branch (not just military branches but specialty branches as well), and also varies slightly from Regular Army, Reserves, and National Guard. Most feeder MOS's require significant time (such as four years) in your MOS before applying, and even then you must prove you are qualified via your Warrant Officer Resume. Some also require a specific amount college that can be waived (such as an associates degree or equivalent). The exception would be those Warrant Officer MOS's that can substitute equivalent civilian experience in highly technical fields. Or, those going aviator Warrant (also called high school-to-flight school candidates). Aviators require a whole separate process though including a written test and flight physical. In the National Guard, after all that you still need to go before a FEDREC board to become a Warrant Officer Candidate (09W). Then, and only then can you get a date for Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOCS) which is either held at Fort Rucker, AL, or one of the Regional Training Institutes throughout the U.S. still run by the Warrant Officer Career College at Rucker. The first step is finding a warrant officer strength/accession manager (WOSM) in your command. If you are active duty, then go to a warrant officer in your unit. If you are guard, every state has a WOSM, just talk to your CoC. Any further questions you have, feel free to reach out. If you buy enough tickets, you have a better shot at having your ticket drawn and becoming a Warrant Officer!
