How does everyone feel about getting vaccinated?

I'm 65 and I'm good enough at math to understand that starts getting into the high risk category, so yes, I did get the vaccines. Jesus, how many did I get in the service and for what foreign disease I don't even remember, so what difference is a couple more.

I figure it can't be any worse than the
ones I got for Typhoidd, the Anthrax, the Yellow Fever, Smallpox....plus God only knows what other vaccinations I received....plus, my civilian job would probably require it to return to work since I work for a lab and 85% of the people we see are 65+

I got Moderna back in February. No problem.

I cannot believe the selfishness of some here. Getting the shot is NOT about you! It is about those around you. It is about every person you may come in contact with.

I have received both doses of the Moderna vaccine. Working in EMS, I've seen first hand the devastation this virus can cause to high risk individuals. For me personally, I've had sinus infections that made me feel worse than Covid did. A couple of our local doctors were not so fortunate and passed away due to complications from the disease.

My civilian doctor recommended that we get the shots. I got the first shot at the Atlanta VA and then I tried to get the second shot there but got no response. Got the second Modena shot at Publix. Arm was a little sore for a couple of days.

Wife and I have not gotten any vaccinations for Covid. She works retail and runs a maskless store for the last 6 months now. Yes - Florida. She has one, count them, ONE customer who insists everyone be masked. In 6 months no one has died, no one has gotten sick, no one even talks about it much anymore.

What we do talk about are the vaccines! Those experimental vaccines or RNA shots (they are different!) and the fact that this is **the only vaccine sets** that you cannot sue if a family member gets injured or dies from it. If you look at the image I attached, we live in the middle of the 3 very red counties in the SE part of FL. The largest area for population density in the 4 very densely populated areas of Florida.

No masks mandated for 6ish months. We are not dying like flies out here. Sorry to disappoint...

I'm vaxed. Got the Moderna shot through the VA the second I heard it was available. I have a high risk individual that I live with and people around here are fairly rabidly anti-vax and anti-mask. Transmission numbers dropped immediately in areas that got their population vaccinated. I will not be responsible for Covid continuing to kill and injure people.

Since it seems that it's relevant to ones credibility on this topic - Due to my personal health situation I am fully vaccinated.
That said,
The Politicization of a Health issue was a severe mistake.
The later admitted use of deceit by Public Health Officials to drive behavior was a disturbing and huge mistake.
The language of Politics in the conversation regarding the issue was a mistake.
As to the Political Parties - both have their blame to bear, it's not a one side right and the other wrong situation - if you see it as one or the other I would invite you to re-examine the information in the Public record.
