How does it work and what are my best options? <br /><br />Little back story. <br />My wife and I own a house in New York. <br />Between all the standard bills and a few credit cards we have great credit and relatively low debt. She has good income and we have a child. <br /><br />I have some info already and know how boned I am about bah and the whole geographical bachelor not being a thing but I don’t know how barracks works if I’m married, bah being that they could technically be moved etc. <br /><br />Looking for some guidance/recommendations on what to do here. Is she looking to move here? Are you willing to sell or rent the house? What are you trying to accomplish? Please provide a better picture to help give you more solid advice. No you are not entitled to BAH with dependent rate in the Baracks. However, you can get slammed for not supporting your family. If your spouse doesn’t want to move, you ultimately cannot make her. There is the option of renting out your house with a realtor and moving about. Some families do do this, you know. <br />However, do what is best for you and your family.
