I understand having duplicate topics removed at times, but what if they're years apart? New people are joining RallyPoint all the time and some of the newer folk, such as myself, don't always see or want to respond to a topic from, for instance, the year of 2013. Are there ways to improve this, or should we simply respond to old topics?

I understand there is even a recent topic similar to this, but the aim of which seems slightly different. I'm all in favor of keeping topics if they have months or years between them, while the aforementioned topic seemed more for deleting them.

First you have to look at the header that pops up you post your question... and check those threads before you check "my question is new." But, I agree, this gets confusing, and many issues are cyclic.

That's another thing I pick up from this, if that a lot of good comments or advice are missed out on because we never see those old discussions. But I'm trying more to direct this towards keeping duplicate questions, while from what I can tell, that post is more towards getting rid of them.
