How does the reclassification process work, and what are the requirements? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-does-the-reclassification-process-work-and-what-are-the-requirements

I was thinking about reclassifying from a 11B(infantrymen) to a 09L(Linguist). I was wondering how does the proccess work and what are the requirements. I am a native speaker who scored 2+ and above on 6 dialects(modern standard, Egyptian, Iraqi, Levantine, Yemeni, Saudi) of Arabic on the DLPT and also took 2 OPI Exams and scored 2+ on both(Modern Standard, Yemeni) of them. I speak, read and write all dialects fluently and also speak English just as fluent. I’m not in a rush and don’t mind my job now, but honestly feel I can serve the country better and even benefit from it more. Can anyone give advise or help me understand this “reclassification”? You'll have to be on station for a year prior to reclassing. 35P is also another linguist MOS that may be more fitting. As a native speaker, you should be aiming for a 3 on your DLPT or you may be required to go to language school.
Be aware that language based MOSs are very small, very low density, and that means very slow promotion. 35M, psyops and civil affairs are all larger MOSs that are authorized languages as well. Psyops and civil affairs won't require a TS like the other MOSs, which is a show stopper of you're a MAVNI. If you’re still looking to reclass, I highly recommend looking into other 35 series such as 35L or 35F. Good luck!
