For example: if you had a Red Cross message for your spouse or child, they could have you on a flight home in days. With that said, I would map out how much time you’ll need to complete TAPS and your ETS Leave, and then start speaking with your CoC. Don’t lay this on them one week from when you think you’ll need to be home and expect it to happen. As long as you have a computer to access emails and the trainings required. Taking leave is a privilege not an entitlement. You're either going to have to sell a bunch of leave or extend. I believe that you would get the cash value of those leave days (Unused) shortly after ETS departure.

I left active duty 2009 and yes I recall having received in my bank account funds from unused leave days. It came in handy for living expenses Response by SGT Anita Yawson made Apr 28 at 2021 7:50 PM 2021-04-28T19:50:12-04:00 2021-04-28T19:50:12-04:00 Pvt Stella McPherson 6935797

You are to leave as soon as possible Response by Pvt Stella McPherson made Apr 28 at 2021 10:08 PM 2021-04-28T22:08:31-04:00 2021-04-28T22:08:31-04:00 2021-04-28T06:19:56-04:00
