So one of the first things I did was made sure they could get a hold of me. I have also taken the time to get to know a little bit of each one of them on a more personal note. I feel that it is important to understand were they are coming from . I call a couple of them each month to check up on them and see how they are doing. During the drill weekend I try to spend some time with them out side of duty hrs as I feel that it is important to share that bond with them as they are more apt to want to call someone they trust. So I found myself on the phone mostly listening to them. I think got me wondering how many truly use the wing man concept or battle buddy for you a army folk? What are some of the ways you use it? How far do you go for your fellow service members? 2015-07-15T04:30:53-04:00 SSgt Private RallyPoint Member 815865 <div class="images-v2-count-1"><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-1" id="image-51530"> <div class="social_icons social-buttons-on-image"> <a href='https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fhow-far-do-you-go-for-your-fellow-service-members%3Futm_source%3DFacebook%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_campaign%3DShare%20to%20facebook' target="_blank" class='social-share-button facebook-share-button'><i class="fa fa-facebook-f"></i></a> <a href="https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=How+far+do+you+go+for+your+fellow+service+members%3F&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fhow-far-do-you-go-for-your-fellow-service-members&amp;via=RallyPoint" target="_blank" class="social-share-button twitter-custom-share-button"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i></a> <a href="mailto:?subject=Check this out on RallyPoint!&body=Hi, I thought you would find this interesting:%0D%0AHow far do you go for your fellow service members?%0D%0A %0D%0AHere is the link: https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-far-do-you-go-for-your-fellow-service-members" target="_blank" class="social-share-button email-share-button"><i class="fa fa-envelope"></i></a> </div> <a class="fancybox" rel="173857ff014817725321cc80f8d4e3e8" href="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/051/530/for_gallery_v2/82279565.jpg"><img src="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/051/530/large_v3/82279565.jpg" alt="82279565" /></a></div></div>So I am a newer NCO and part of that is making sure your guy and girls are under you are taken care of. Thank you for taking care of your Airmen and being more concerned about others than yourself! Keep doing this and you will have a GREAT career! Here's a tip - record each of their birthdays and be the first to wish them a Happy Birthday!
