<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>For one you have to pass PT test of course, then pass your airborne physical, which you could get at your local Soldier Clinic. Then you need a Da 4187 sign by your Commander asking to attend Airborne Training, the hard part is now the Army won’t send you to Airborne unless you go to AB units, unless your unit is ok with loosing you to an AB unit then should be no issue then. Confirm that with your 1st line supervisor ask him to ask higher.

Losing you for training, B. Betting on your succeeding C. Does it correspond with their METL - can they justify losing you for training, etc. all in all, the more junior you are, the easier it is to send you. Make it known in your face to face with your leadership, and in your monthly counselings

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>They asked my class back in 08 who wants to go airborne and who wants home town recruiting, the guys going airborne was held over for two weeks after AIT. So just ask when your about a week out from graduation.

More than likely it will be difficult because well let&#39;s face it they don&#39;t typically drop a D7R out of the sky......
