You need to receive a conditional release from your Guard. You&#39;ll need to complete a DD 368 and receive a letter of endorsement or an LOR from your chain of command. 1LT Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 17 Apr 2018 10:15:22 -0400 2018-04-17T10:15:22-04:00 Response by CPT Don Kemp made Apr 17 at 2018 11:19 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-hard-is-it-to-go-from-ng-infantry-officer-to-ad-infantry-officer-after-going-through-the-guard-ocs-program?n=3551464&urlhash=3551464 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As with all requests, it depends on the needs of the Army. When times are tough and you wouldn&#39;t want to go Active Duty, it will be relatively easy. Every year the Army does a MILPER for a Call to Active Duty (CAD) for career fields they don&#39;t have enough folks of each rank for. Usually comes out in the late Spring, I think. Just tell your S-1 to let you know when the CAD memo comes out. It was near impossible for an officer to active. At best, OBV 3, obligated volunteer with a 3 year commitment if you graduated at the very top of your class at IOBC. OCS (state commission) is ranked at the bottom of commissioning sources. Good luck. CPT Lorenzo Lama Tue, 24 Apr 2018 16:09:43 -0400 2018-04-24T16:09:43-04:00 2018-04-17T09:19:22-04:00
