Follow up question: is the pre requisite for applying to CID spending 1 year as an MP get satisfied by spending one year of normal drill in the reserves or national guard?
Thank you for your time.
I'm planning to enlist in the national guard as a 31B under the assumption that it would satisfy said requirement.
Final question: Do reserve CID units pay for travel if its sufficiently far?

I would recommend going to a GOOD recruiter and re-enlist with a guaranteed CID SCHOOL AND MOS. Keep searching through recruiters until you get what you want. Branch of service doesn’t matter. The job is the same in all of them.

I'm aware of the pre requisites, I wanted to know how hard it was if you meet the pre requisites to go into CID in the reserves from national guard as a 31B while under contract.

If you join the AD the MP or LEO experience is usually waived as long as you meet all the other prerequisites
