Are there any factors that I&#39;m not considering? <br /><br />I joined the National Guard last year, prior service USMC, currently not MOSQ. It took me awhile to hunt down my MOSQ waiver from the 35F proponent schoolhouse stating that my USMC 0231 MOS converts to Army 35F MOS and that I do not need to attend the schoolhouse.<br /> <br />It took me about 7 months to figure out how to obtain the waiver,which I gave to my readiness NCO in February for processing to become MOSQ. Whenever I asked my readiness NCO for an update on my MOSQ submission, she always told me she&#39;s still looking into the process. I recently found out the readiness NCO has been giving me false updates and has no intention of processing my MOSQ waiver. Readiness NCO&#39;s reasoning is because I have a warrant package, there&#39;s no point in processing my MOSQ. She is saying that because my record will be moving from an ERB to an ORB, I don&#39;t need my 35F MOSQ.<br /><br />My dilemma is I&#39;m not sure if I should leave it alone, or continue pushing for my MOSQ. Her reasoning makes a little sense, since my 350F WO package is FEDRECd, if I eventually become a WO I won&#39;t really need the 35F MOSQ on my record. <br />But at the same time, it seems to me that since I have the waiver, and I rate the MOSQ, I should push to get it. It&#39;s just a matter of the readiness NCO processing a PAR with the waiver letter. It&#39;s no telling how long until I become a WO, and even once I am, I would imagine there must be some benefit to having my enlisted MOSQ in my record. <br /><br />Should I keep pushing for my MOSQ or drop it? <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you have the waiver for the MOS, I would push the paperwork through now. You will lose your enlisted MOS after completing WOCS, but it is always better to have all your paperwork in order covering your complete military service. Also, having done this process yourself, you will be better prepared to help out fellow soldiers in the future if needed.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was enlisted 19 years before I got commissioned. Nothing from my enlisted time (other than time in service and pay entry date) is on my ORB. I held 1 USAF AFSC and 3 Army MOSs and none of them are on my ORB. I have the 1059s from the schools in iPERMS and that&#39;s it.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not all that long ago, as a USAR brigade commander, I stayed very interested in my non DMOSQ Soldiers. I could recite their names and status from memory, probably because it was a Battle Focused Readiness Review entry on the unit’s first slide to the CG. I would get MOSQ especially since it sounds like a paper drill. <br /><br />“Every personnel action moves forward to the approval/disapproval authority.”
