It's not very high on my priority list, BUT I'll lead by example by SHOWING them how TSP has worked for me.

I show them both extremes (lost over $8,000 on year, but gained over $12,000 in another) and what typically occurs year-by-year.

Its huge!

What I've found after nearly 30 years of service is that those that invest in their future (educationally/financially and etc.) are much less likely to get into trouble and more likely to be responsible and productive members in the unit. You cannot buy back the power of compounding interest!

It's a very important part of their overall plan!
