How involved are you in your suboordinates careers? I for example, every month I ask that my soldiers print an updated copy of their ERB, latest end-of-month LES, verify correct information on their personal data sheet and so on and so forth so that I can help them stay on top of their careers. And with the addition of the ACT I tell my soldiers to add me as their 1st line leader so that I can keep track of progress.

I  try to personally invest in each one of my subordinates as much as I can.  At this point in my career, it is mostly through mentoring and dispensing advice.

That is awesome. You don't see that happening much now a days. I work with my PSG to ensure his leaders book contains the correct information needed. I also review the NCOERs he writes to ensure the army writing style was used correctly. A lot of soldiers don't even know what right looks like so that can't maintain those expectations. I would say you are on the right path to improving the army overall.

Thanks sir. I see that some leaders today versus the leaders when I was a younger soldier dont take the time to be proactive in soldiers careers which has caused alot of soldiers undue headaches. I believe that if you play an active part in your soldier's career they will likely trust you more and will have no problem doing what you ask of them because they know that you have their best interests at heart

Are you talking about career or ERB updates?
Being involved in their careers is a hell of a lot more than looking at their ERB and LESs.
