I was wondering how Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo has changed in the past 16 years since I was there. I was part of Task Force Falcon KFOR and was part of the 9th Engineers that helped set it up. Our big thing to do was to go to the PX semi-trailer or the roach truck Burger King ( which we was convinced that they were serving us rat burgers. ) what all is there now?

I was there primarily in 2004 (PSYOP) and it was booming. We served under a Brigade-sized command, but also had SOCCE and aviation assets coming and going. There was a "northtown" and "southtown" and (as I remember) two large gyms and a sizable DFAC and PX. I read that northtown has since since been bulldozed and that there is a Battalion-sized command element there.
It (and Camp Monteith in Gjilane) was much more austere than KFOR Main in Pristina. Those guys could actually drink and it had a much more European air to it.

Have you checked on Google Earth? My old Hooch in Son Tra is still there, though the base has changed greatly in the past few years.
