So many have separated with nothing(financially). That simply wont be the case anymore. That being said, definitely thankful for the grandfathering part for current AD folks. Reality is the civil service when through an overhaul of their retirement system years ago. In the end, the employer (our government) hold the cards. I am glad to be retired.
